About Us

Cherie’s Dance Studio has been open in Cedar Rapids for over 55 years and many of her highly qualified and exciting staff have been with Cherie since they started dance at the age of three.

We are extremely proud of her former students who have gone on to perform professionally in Ireland, Japan, Indonesia, England, Germany, France, Chicago, Las Vegas, Disney, New York, California, The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., etc.

In addition, former Cherie's Dance students have founded studios in North Carolina, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Arizona, Missouri, and Des Moines.

At Cherie's Dance Studio, we believe that dance enriches life by developing poise, instilling discipline, encouraging goal setting and achievement, and promoting an active life style.  Our trained staff is committed to offering classes that provide a positive and rewarding environment to help each student reach their full potential and experience the technical skills and discipline of dance.  We believe a dancer is an athlete of the arts and try to instill an appreciation for the performing arts in each and every one of our students.  We also strongly believe that the success of all Cherie's dancers comes as a result of providing solid technical training and our commitment to each individual student.

Classes For All Ages and Skill Levels

We offer classes for students who wish to take once or twice a week as a fun after school activity as well as the serious child who is aspiring for a more professional level of performance and competition. 

We place beginner students by age and grade, and experienced students by the number of years and type of training. Transferring students are welcome to make a private appointment to insure proper placement. If we place a child incorrectly, they will be moved during the first few weeks.

Class prices start as low as $39.00 a month and ranges upward, depending on the type of dance and length of class.
